Hah. Haven't been keeping up with this. >> Partially because so far a lot of it has been pretty similar to past instances. But here's another part (not all of it - I'll post more tomorrow).

These first few days are going to be a bit dull as I rehash what I've already written twice before. Gives me the opportunity to fix details, but if you've read either version before, it'll seem very similar.

Four days until NaNo! I cleaned up the rather mished together old layout in favor of a quick generic one courtesy of LJ. Perhaps if I have time I'll even make my own, but that looks doubtful. For now you get a gettyimage of a possible Becky face. There's a Cassie icon in there, too. Bwahaha.
I might actually make it yet, after hauling 8k out of my... knuckles in the past two days.

I decided to do Guardians. Prologue and chapters one and two under the cut.

Nyargh. Having a hard time keeping up with my wordcount because I'm lame. So right now I'm only 6k behind and I intend to work on rectifying that tonight and tomorrow morning, although somehow in the meantime I have to do my Latin homework. Hmm.
The present tense is starting to eat my brains. o.o

Looks like yet another year of NaNo. Oh staples of life! Like I said, this year I'm going to do Sen, which I've basically been working on since February. Of course, everything rewritten, and this first bit may smack a lot like the bit I started over the summer, but I promise there was no copying and pasting involved. And tomorrow will be beyond that little smidgeon I wrote this summer, anyway.

I've a feeling I'll probably end up doing this one for NaNoWriMo this year. Woo.

A silly little short story for fiction tutorial. Kinda our "final" in that in writing it we're supposed to show improvement over our major writing flaws (as perceived by the prof). She gave us a prompt. Mine was,
Using third-person narration, write a scene in which a character reveals her true feelings about her father, whom she hasn't seen in many years but now, for some compelling reason, is about to meet and visit. Make clear the specific conflict and tension in the relationship that drove them apart, and why it remainds unresolved. Show us first in internal monologue what the narrator plans to do, and then what actually takes place at their meeting. Make clear as we go whether this narrator's "take" on the situation is reliable or not.
